I was at a local Fremantle market last weekend and bought a coffee to sip as I walked around and viewed the market stalls. As I was about to throw away my cup, I took a second look at the gorgeous Bee design on it. I knew I had a stamp set at home that I hadn’t used yet and this cup was going to be my inspiration!
I kept that coffee stained cup and yesterday took it to my crafting studio where I used it to inspire these designs… just love it when a plan comes together.
What I am learning is that there is inspiration everywhere and we don’t need to act upon things immediately, the time will come when that picture cut out of a magazine, that little snip of fabric, or that takeaway coffee cup will need to come out of its hiding place and into your creative space.
I love going about my daily activities and looking around for inspiration, because you can find inspiration anywhere. Of course, there is the little problem of, where do you store all these snippet’s of inspiration? Lets see, you can always display them, take photos or you can always do what I love to do and have a little fun with your art journal!
Subscribe to my blog to find out what I did with my coffee cup after using it to inspire my card designs.
Also, Dragonfly Dreams which I used for the cards can be purchased from my store, link can be found below.
