Inspiration from Kelly Rae Roberts and others.
This is my way of creating fun art that can be framed, turned into cards or made for book or box covers. Simple creative ways to use up scraps of paper and fabric. A great process to develop your drawing and painting skills with simple lines and basic tools. You will have some amazing results and so much fun creating! Ideal for art journalling pages too!
I have created three different designs ( I call my angel girls), two that covered shoe boxes and one framed which will eventually go into my art journal when I’m ready to create something different.
Heavy duty paper or card board
Water colour paper
Water colours (paints)
Gold acrylic paint
Scraps of designer paper or old magazines
Here are several designs I created in one morning of painting, gluing and just having fun.
I hope that I have inspired you to enjoy some creative pursuits today!

I really wanted this stamp set, its so on trend at the moment and I just knew I could make some beautiful cards with the Flowering Desert stamp set. As you can see I have a few decorative items in my studio that are cacti….so cute!
Inspiration came quickly with this set as I couldn’t wait to play.
Pool Party Ink
Pool party card stock
Mint Macaron card stock
There are so many options with this stamp set, you can make amazing backgrounds with some of these gorgeous designs. I absolutely love creating my own designer papers for my backgrounds…and Stampin’ Up make this so easy to achieve!
I just think the above card is simple to put together and yet super elegant, this classic colour combination will suit so many occasions. I used the subtles card stock for all of these cards.
Subtles card stock
Basic grey Ink
Same colours just using a different foliage both the large and small of these stamps combined together make a super design! So its just so easy with Stampin’Up products, choose your stamp set, then your papers and then your co-ordinating inks.
Black and Lemon Lime twist , what a pop of brightness…this will brighten someones day!
Your designs are only limited by you, so expand your creativity the simple way using Stampin’ Up products and make big colour choices and know that having inks, pens and papers that all co-ordinate will make your projects stand out from the crowd.

This is a fun stamp set that allows for lots of opportunity to play with colour. Perfect for blends these fun characters come to life with your Stampin blends! This set Animal Outing is wonderful to have and as an Australian Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I really appreciate our little Kangaroo and Koala.
I have not only made cards from this stamp set but great tags for bags and school books. I just laminate these for a sturdy finish after name is put on. Easy to make and certainly something the kids could do over the summer holidays.
Tags and book marks are a great way to utilise your scraps of designer series papers. Book marks or tags make for a lovely addition to any card. A sweet little handmade gift tucked into a card is a lovely gesture.
These projects are simple and fun and easy.

Keep it simple! We have all heard that before and let me tell you that in all areas of design…simple just works! That doesn’t mean that all design should be simple but keeping things simple can really keep a project on track. Knowing when enough is enough can be a tough place to be and by planning a simple project in the beginning …can save you a whole lot of card stock later on.
How to keep it simple:
Choose you stamp set
Choose 3 colours and (white or black)
To give dimension use several mounts, as above I used a frame of blushing bride then whisper white and propped it all onto a blushing bride background using dimensionals, then onto whisper white card base.
The bow was in my stash of stamped extras that I keep at hand but quite easily you could just use something from the same stamp set …to keep it simple! You can see this with the card pictured below.
To make this project you will need:
Wink of stella glitter brush
Blushing Bride cardstock
Whisper white cardstock
Lemon Lime Twist
Another simple technique added to this card was my wink of stella, which I added over the base of the flower petals, this gives a lovely sparkly glow!
Hope you enjoyed this post and try your hand at simple stamping, lots of fun and remember….Keep it Simple! You cant go wrong.

Stamping should be fun and certainly when you first start out should be easy! Over the next few weeks I will be posting some simple stamping ideas. Simple cards that are quick and easy but still look simply gorgeous.
All you will need is paper, glue, ink and stamps. My tip to make simple stamping look super professional is mounting onto several layers of card stock in co-ordinating colours.
For this project I used four colours, with basic whisper white
Stock card used:
Lemon Lime Twist
Inks I used were:
Lemon Lime twist
Stamp set “Beautiful Peacock” is retired but any 2 or three set stamp set will do!
Check out my video below that shows how quick and easy this project can be!

Wishing you well is one of my absolutely favourite stamp sets from the current catalogue. Look at the elegance of these images. Ideal for projects no matter the season. These Distinktive stamps are simply for the heart.
I love the pink and white theme, so simple and clean and it has worked well as a christmas card, see above.
These “just a note” are a great thank you card or perfect for quick note to a friend, change the sentiment to happy birthday… and what a gorgeous birthday card!
This set of cards took no time at all, an hour including all prep time. I find it easier to pre cut once I have decided on my design then put it all together.
When making this set of cards I clear embossed the bouquet of flowers, the bow and the wreath, not only does this give shine it gives a dimensional look and a professional finish. This card set covers many occasions and is a must have for those of you on the road. The sky is the limit when you team a versatile stamp set like this (Wishing you well) with Stampin’ Up’s designer series papers.
Choose different colour combinations for a completely different look:
